Putheara lives with Cerebral Palsy (CP), a disability that affects coordination, balance, and movement. For those living with CP, mobility aids, like wheelchairs or orthotic braces, are essential for daily use.

With your support, we’ve been by Putheara's side since 2011, ensuring she has access to the orthotic braces and crutches that empower her to move independently, comfortably and confidently.

Over the years, we’ve had the pleasure of visiting Putheara and her family in Cambodia, often stopping by their family’s farm stand on the side of the road, where we would find Putheara helping her mom, always smiling and happy to pitch in.

It’s hard to believe, but Putheara is now in her final year of school. Putheara bikes to school, an hour each way, to complete her studies. She dreams of becoming a teacher and creating a brighter future for herself and her family.

Mobility has given Putheara the opportunity to go to school, and the hope that her dreams are a possibility; her determination to get there - no matter the distance - gives us little doubt she will accomplish them.

When not planning for her future, you can find Putheara hanging with her friends or singing (but only if no one is there to hear her!). On behalf of Putheara and her family, thank you.

CoolKid since 2011.

Putheara receives free mobility care at our program with Exceed in Cambodia.

100% of the children we serve will need continued treatment. A growing child needs care, on average, every six months. Join The CoolKids Club with a monthly donation to keep our CoolKids moving — Growing Up ALTSO is mobility for the future. View more CoolKid stories here.
