Give monthly to keep our CoolKids moving.
As quickly as a kid outgrows a pair of shoes, our CoolKids outgrow their mobility aids. Your support provides continual care for our CoolKids — growing made easy.
Our CoolKids’ families cannot afford initial mobility treatment, let alone the 2+ follow-ups per year that their child will need as they grow. Your monthly donation provides continued mobility, peace of mind for our CoolKids and their families, and so much more than movement.

Meet Refan: the boy who survived the crash.
In 2010, Nanag and Maryani rode their motorbike to the market with their toddler son Refan wrapped tightly in a sarong against his mother’s chest - as is common in Indonesia and throughout the developing world. Their bike suddenly crashed and Nanag’s sarong was caught in the rear wheel. Shocked, Nanag and Maryani quickly realized that their 16-month old son’s leg was detached from his body.
Thanks to the help of bystanders, who kept pressure on Refan’s wound, and a kind stranger, who drove them to the nearest hospital, Refan was still alive, though in critical condition. The hospital was not equipped to attempt a reattachment surgery and Refan was in too delicate of a condition to handle the 167 mile transport to reach a hospital that was. Through diligent care, Refan survived the crash, but nonetheless, was left without his lower right leg
We met Refan in 2014 and provided him with his first prosthetic limb. 10 years later, we’ve provided Refan with over a dozen more. Refan is now exuberant, vibrant, fearless — and always on the go. With the support of our CoolKids club, we’ll be there to provide free care to him through the age of 21 .
When you give a child like Refan the ability to move, you give him the opportunity to go to school, make friends, and one day support his family and community.
