From overcoming a life-changing traumatic accident, to meeting his favorite athlete, and proudly representing his country in the Paralympics, a child’s first prosthetic limb can transform everything. Just ask Dwi.

As a young child, Dwi lost his leg in a traumatic accident. Dwi’s parents, a security officer and flower vendor, were unable to save the money necessary to buy Dwi a single prosthetic limb, let alone afford the follow up costs that would incur as Dwi grew.

In 2015, with your generous support, we provided Dwi with his very first prosthetic limb. It didn't take long for Dwi to feel comfortable and at ease with its use, jumping quickly from first steps to first dribbles.

Since that first CoolKid check-up, we have remained dedicated in our commitment to provide Dwi with the free, ongoing mobility care he needs to keep moving as he grows.

An active child who is always on the move, Dwi has dreamed of becoming a professional athlete for as long as we have known him. A star on and off the field, Dwi can effortlessly keep up with his friends in the classroom and during games.

In 2019, Dwi got to show off his soccer skills when former Manchester United Football Club player Gary Neville stopped by our program with Puspadi in Bali in Indonesia. But, as you can tell from Dwi’s choice of attire, it’s FC Barcelona for this Messi Fan.

And just a few years later, in 2023, Dwi's dreams became a reality when he was chosen to represent Bali at the prestigious National Students Paralympic Games in shot put. Dwi emerged triumphant in the competition, claiming first place and a gold medal!
