Imagine wearing shoes two sizes too small, or pants that are so big you trip on them when you walk. When we met Alisha in 2022, she had been painfully using an ill-fitted prosthetic limb for years. This prosthesis not only provided Alisha with limited mobility, it was becoming less suitable and more uncomfortable by the day as Alisha grew.

This is a common problem in the countries where we work — many mobility aids provided gratis are mass-produced, heavy, and have limited functionality. We created our Joshi to break this pattern and to ensure more CoolKids like Alisha have access to the high-quality care they need to move comfortably and confidently.

With your support, we fitted Alisha with her first Joshi prosthetic limb and committed to providing her with the continued care she needs as she grows. Together, we can ensure Alisha maintains the mobility she needs to enjoy the fun, worry-free childhood she deserves.

Alisha is in school where she has over 20 friends! Like many kids her age, Alisha’s favorite things include dancing, the movie Frozen, the color pink, and strawberries.
