A major world financial center, Chicago is the second largest central business district in the US – and also has one of the most active music scenes in the country, alongside New York. As we wrap up our second Rocktoberfest in Chicago, we are proud to call this city our home away from home.
CROSSROADS AT HOUSE OF BLUES | OCTOBER 3, 2013 - 6PM-11PM | 329 N. DEARBORN, CHICAGO, IL.
From yellow to green to red to BLUES , it was a night to remember.
ALTSO’s second annual Rocktoberfest-Chicago event drew quite a crowd Thursday evening in Chicago with strong support of major sponsors and over 400 attendees from the local Chicago financial, business and hedge fund communities. Industry professionals performed rock and roll and acoustic music to raise funds for ALTSO, which offers children who have lost their limbs in traumatic accidents or suffer from congenital birth defects free orthopedic care in the developing world. The event raised close to $100,000 through sponsorships, ticket sales, and ALTSO’S GLOW campaign. 100% of the net proceeds raised at Rocktoberfest are allocated to ALTSO’s life-changing programs in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. And for those hearty souls who stuck around till the bitter end, they got to see Jim Belushi play with a group from New York, Mo’ Betta Blues Band, who are becoming blues legends one gig at a time.
A tip of the cap to Ray McKenzie, head of the Chicago committee and the many others in Chicago who helped make the event a night to remember.
