HEDGE FUND ROCKTOBERFEST (NEW YORK CITY AND CHICAGO)
Hedge Fund Rocktoberfest is arguably one of the most unique and highly anticipated events in both the finance and charitable industries. The event unites more than 1,000 leaders from the hedge fund and related financial services industries for a night of rock-and-roll and acoustic music performed by industry professionals. 2013 will mark ALTSO’s 10th Annual Hedge Fund Rocktoberfest in New York City, and the 2nd Annual Hedge Fund Rocktoberfest in Chicago. HEDGE FUND MAY-FAIR (LONDON)
Hedge Fund Rocktoberfest has been such a success for ALTSO in the US, that in 2007, we decided to stage a similar event in the UK. May-Fair 2007 was held at the Café de Paris in London, another hedge fund rock benefit featuring The Subscribers, the Hypothecators and many special guests.
Writing in the Financial Times blog, Helen Thomas described the event as a “refreshing” bit of good fun, aiming to raise money for a good cause with a minimal amount of individual grandstanding.
OTHER EVENTS
Since the founding of ALTSO, many of our patrons have offered to help by staging local fund-raisers on their own. These fundraising events have included polo matches, art shows, wine tastings and concerts, among other things.
