From volunteering in our NYC office, to hosting a backyard barbeque with friends, to getting your workplace behind sponsoring a child’s treatment – there are a lot of opportunities to join our mission and transform lives.
SINGLE DONATION
Do it as a family, or in honor of a loved one. Ask your work to match your donation and double your impact. Donate to the program of your choice; once the child’s treatment is complete, we’ll display his/her photograph on our IMPACT page.
WORKPLACE GIVING
Workplace giving is a simple and effective way for employees to regularly make tax deductible donations to ALTSO. Committing to regular donations makes it easier for ALTSO to forward plan, so we can achieve more with your hard earned dollars.
All you need to do is:
- Speak to your management/payroll team about adding ALTSO to your existing list of charities, or ask payroll to set the program up.
- Notify us of your decision to select ALTSO for your workplace giving program at info@altso.org
- Promote the program to your staff and encourage participation. You could also ask your employer if they are willing to match donations dollar for dollar.
- Deposit your donations to ALTSO. (monthly, quarterly or bi-annually)
MATCHING GIFTS
Many companies have a matching gift program where they will match your donation dollar-for-dollar: all you have to do is ask!
Workplace giving partners can choose to further boost the contribution provided by employees by matching the amount dollar-for-dollar at a corporate level. This provides further tax deductions for the employer and means that more funds are raised for program development.
Research shows that the number one motivation for employee participation in Workplace Giving is the fact that their employer matches donations.

DONATE IN-KIND
ALTSO can accept donations in kind and arrange for their distribution. Such donations could include orthopedic devices, prosthetic components and wheelchairs. We would also be interested in the donation of T-shirts or other promotional items that could be used to raise funds.
To support our work in the office, a scanner, laptop computer and a digital camera would be much appreciated. Please contact our team at info@altso.org to make an in-kind donation.
FUNDRAISE
Throw a party, run a marathon, host a picnic, or have a casual Friday (or Monday!) at your workplace. Give up exchanging holiday gifts to give a child the ability to walk.
